Interview preparation means understanding your case
Review forms, dates, records and changes since filing with your attorney. Preparation should help you explain true facts clearly rather than memorise a script. Be ready to request clarification when a question is unclear and avoid guessing when you do not remember. Representation, interpreter arrangements and required documents must be checked against the current agency rules and your appointment notice.
Not every refusal has the same meaning
Look at the stated basis and instructions, not just an online status. A consular refusal under section 221(g), for example, may involve requested documents or administrative processing. Other grounds call for a different analysis. Provide the full notice, filing confirmation and agency correspondence. A new application without reviewing the previous decision may repeat the same issue and add expense.
The record comes before the response strategy
Earlier forms, spelling variations, work dates, travel and family changes can raise questions without any intention to conceal information. We help organise records so the attorney can identify where clarification, a document or separate legal analysis is needed. If another representative handled the case, obtain the complete filed record. Further support and its scope are discussed after reviewing the actual history.
Turn general information into your own plan.
This page explains the topic. A decision about your case needs the facts, history and an agreed attorney review. Scope and fees are settled before work begins.

Can a good interview guarantee approval?
No. An interview is part of adjudication, and the outcome depends on eligibility, records and checks. Preparation helps present the facts but cannot replace the agency’s decision.
How long does administrative processing take?
There is no universal duration. It depends on the case; ordinary interview wait times do not predict administrative processing. Follow the official instructions for your application.
